How I developed my natural weed control mulch film
My vast experience with natural polysaccharides can work for you at a fraction of the cost of doing your own development. Contacting me is free. Let’s talk about your goals.
You have a choice after reading this series. You can test Liquid Mulch for yourself on your farm or in your garden. Or, you can hire my lab to develop a polysaccharide solution for your goals.
Here is an example of how I solved the problem of weeds using polysaccharide chemistry and without using herbicides.
The development of Liquid Mulch as a natural, biodegradable, mulch film to control weeds and that is quick and easy to apply was a multifaceted, multi-partner, and multiyear undertaking. It was one the most extensive polysaccharide development projects that I ever did. And that includes the development of starch blast media.
I am really proud of the product that was developed and the benefits that it brings to you, the grower and gardener. It is more useful than conventional biodegradable mulching films. Especially in forestry, orchards, vineyards, landscaping, for home garden use, and many other places.
It all started with a problem…

Solving the Problem - The Development Process
I started by investigating what the industry was doing to control weeds at the time. And I investigated what the good points and the drawbacks of the state of the industry were. To do this…
The Breakthrough
At about ¾ of the way through the project to develop a natural weed control solution we were still struggling with...
How Liquid Mulch Works
It achieves these outstanding weed control results because it is not a film that lies on top of the soil. Rather, it…
Your Benefits
Plants grow up to 30% bigger with Liquid Mulch than without
Conserves about 45% water because less water evaporates from the soil
Reduces weeds by up to 85%, holds the soil in place, and it does not tent
Increases seedling survivability
Very quick and easy apply
Does not need to be removed because it is fully biodegradable
All natural, completely biodegradable, no microplastic or chemical residues left in the soil because it is completely consumed by the microbes in the soil
Can be used along waterways
Not harmful to animals, insects or humans
Does not need to be removed
My Team
Learn about the team of six of my specialists (including me) who have worked on different aspects of the project to successfully develop Liquid Mulch as a weed control alternative to herbicides and biodegradable film mulches. And we continue to perfect it for you.
